The Honeysuckle Story

Honeysuckle Farm and Holidays was established in 2017 by Matthew & Anna Reed. With their backgrounds in agriculture and conservation they wanted to be able to share with people the beauty of the countryside, country living, its heritage, traditions, skills and crafts.

Honeysuckle Farm was created to house the couple’s herd of Pedigree Boer Goats and expand the smallholding. This created a great base whereby it could be used as a demonstration smallholding and to offer rural experiences.

Honeysuckle Holidays was designed to run alongside the smallholding to offer people the chance to see and learn about agriculture, animals, food production and the environment. It also offers a great place for comfort, relaxation and mindfulness.

A suitable accommodation type was needed. It needed to be well designed, and sympathetic with the rural surroundings, whilst offering comforts, cleanliness, self-catering facilities and a cosy bed.

The traditional Shepherds Hut design suited the aesthetics and would blend in with the countryside but offered few comforts. For this reason we decided to design our own huts and build them ourselves.

Our aim is to give you an authentic back to nature experience that you’ll want to experience again and again. We hope you like our huts and we wish you an enjoyable stay.

Being in the picturesque heart of the Suffolk Countryside also allows people to immerse themselves in the tranquil surroundings, navigate the footpaths, and explore the historic settlements of close by villages such as Debenham and Framlingham.
